Location: Hardwick Old Hall, Chesterfield

Duration: 10 weeks

For this project I designed an intervention that takes visitors through the Hardwick Old Hall's history, provided a fully immersive experience of the Great Hall and an area to view the ruins and reflect on the history of the Hardwick Estate.

 

My intervention proposal consists of: starting with a glass tunnel with projections of the ruins history, from construction to downfall. Followed by an LED video wallroom that displays my recreation of the Great Hall. This then finishes with stairs leading to a rooftop garden that provides a panoramic view of the ruins and allows guests to reflect on the history of the Hardwick Estate.
