Location: Kelham Island, Sheffield

For this project I designed a Conceptual High Street on a vacant plot in Kelham Island that reinvents the traditional ‘high street’ providing much needed places and spaces for the residents of the area to enjoy.

 

One way I chose to reinvent the traditional high street was by using shipping containers as the structure for not only the buildings in the high street, but also the play area.

My primary focus on this high street is the small, locally staffed hairdressers and barbers that accomodates children suffering from sensory processing issues.
